Academy Objective
F.A.B.R.I.C.A. aims to provide participants with the tools to conceptualize an idea and translate it into physical reality. The Academy accompanies participants step by step through the design and production process, fostering autonomy, critical awareness, and experimentation.
With the support of internationally recognized professionals, participants are guided in creating works situated between art and design, characterized by a strong aesthetic identity and a deep connection to contemporaneity, society, and the ecosystem.
F.A.B.R.I.C.A. is conceived as an open platform, encouraging long-term connections between participants, professionals, studios, and partner institutions beyond the duration of the program.

Murano, Venice
“Glass Blowing”
A full-day experience dedicated to meeting a master glassblower inside a historic furnace.
Participants will observe the glass-blowing process using traditional techniques, discovering gestures, timing, and knowledge from a unique artisanal tradition.
Pietrasanta, Tuscany
“Dialogues of Form”
A day dedicated to exploring local artisan workshops. Through meetings and live demonstrations, participants will learn about marble, bronze, and metal processing techniques, investigating the dialogue between material, form, and design.
Carrara, Tuscany
“Cutting Matter”
A visit to the main marble quarries of Carrara, with insights into different natural materials, their characteristics, and the relationship between extraction, landscape, and manufacturing culture.
Cremona, Lombardy
“Playing the Material”
An encounter with master luthiers and professionals to discover how wood generates sound and vibration. An immersive experience exploring the relationship between material, acoustics, and artisanal sensitivity.
